What is Ovelu?
For animal shelters, independent volunteers and families looking to adopt a pet.
Ovelu is a mobile app that connects cats and dogs available for adoption with new families. Shelters and volunteers post listings, and people who want to adopt can see the animal's details and health card before applying.
During the day, a volunteer uploads photos and vaccination details for newly arrived animals. They review applications, message suitable candidates in the app and set up a meet-and-greet, and the listing closes once the adoption is complete.

01Adoption listings
Listings are published with species, age, sex, city and spay/neuter status. Adopters search with filters and save the ones they like.
02Matching and messaging
Applicants share details about their home and experience with animals. The listing owner messages suitable candidates directly in the app.
03Shelter and volunteer panel
Shelters manage their listings, applications and adopted animals in one list. Follow-up notes can be added after adoption.
04Vaccination and health card
Each animal's vaccinations, parasite treatments and vet checkups are kept on its card. On adoption, the card passes to the new owner, who is reminded of the next vaccination date.
