Mobile apps

We map out screen flows to pin down which tasks the app handles for which users, then build it for both platforms. We adapt the interface to phone and tablet screens and follow each platform's design guidelines. We also handle App Store and Google Play account setup, store graphics and the review process.

When a single codebase for both platforms is enough, which it is for most projects, we use Flutter or React Native. For work that sits close to the hardware, such as camera, Bluetooth or heavy graphics, we recommend native development in Swift and Kotlin. We present the choice with our reasoning, based on budget, team and the expected lifespan of the app.

We set up push notifications through Firebase, targeted by user segment. For field teams we add location tracking, maps and routing; for stores and warehouses we add barcode and QR scanning with the camera. We can also connect to external devices such as printers, scales or sensors over Bluetooth.

In locations with weak connectivity, the app stores data on the device and keeps working. When the connection returns, records sync with the server, and if the same record was changed in two places, a predefined rule decides which change wins. Users can see on screen which data has not been sent yet.
