What is Insentia?

For HR departments at businesses with shift work that still track leave on paper forms.

Insentia is an HR system that keeps staff records, leave and shift plans in one place. Employees enter their own leave requests, managers approve them, and the plan updates accordingly.

At the start of the month, the HR officer prepares the shift schedule and publishes it to the teams. Leave requests and sick notes coming in during the day go to approval, and at month end timesheets are prepared ready to transfer to payroll.

Staff records

Each employee's ID, contact details, department, start date and personnel documents are kept in a digital file. Reminders are sent ahead of contract and certificate expiry dates.

Leave workflows

Annual, personal and sick leave go through request, manager approval and HR approval steps. Remaining leave days are calculated automatically for each employee.

Shift planning

Shifts are laid out in weekly or monthly schedules and shared with employees. Overlapping shifts and overtime hours are flagged during planning.
